Overview
The International Lead
Poisoning Prevention Week (ILPPW) takes place every year during the third week
of October. The focus of this year’s week is “End
Childhood Lead Poisoning”. Governments, civil society organizations,
health partners and others are encouraged to organize campaigns during ILPPW.
This resource list contains key information available from WHO on the health hazards of lead and actions to be taken to prevent harm. It is designed to support organizers of events to be held as part of the International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week.
