AMR Surveillance CCs Network - Fourth Meeting
21-23 March 2023, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Overview
The fourth meeting of the WHO AMR Surveillance and Quality Assessment Collaborating Centres Network was organized to:
share global and regional updates on activities to tackle AMR, to share and discuss the challenges in implementing strategies to contain AMR,
discuss and agree on essential areas of work and technical products to be covered by the CC Network work plan for supporting the implementation of the next phase of GLASS at the global and regional levels,
review the CC Network activities to support WHO in fostering the implementation of AMR national action plans and laboratory strengthening in LMICs.
Agreeable plan of action 2023-24 including priority target products aligned with key activities, timelines, and monitoring and evaluation frame for the Network was developed and will be finalized through follow-up discussions.
The next meeting of representatives of the CCs and the Regional Offices was agreed to be held in the first quarter, 2025.
