Overview
Designed for NTD programme implementers and their partners at both country and global levels, Impact in Action aims to present practical applications of the approaches presented in WASH and health working together: a ‘how-to’ guide for neglected tropical disease programmes, second edition. This case study highlights the Jagruti project in Nepal, where trained women leaders used digital tools to collect data and advocate for improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in marginalized communities. By directly engaging local authorities through evidence-based advocacy and on-site visits, the project successfully mobilized action to enhance access to safe water and sanitation, particularly for Dalit households. The study showcases how women-led initiatives and community-driven advocacy can drive meaningful, sustainable change in WASH and NTD prevention efforts.
