Conducting a Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health Workforce Assessment
A Handbook

Overview
This Handbook explains clearly and comprehensively the methodology which will enable countries to better understand and present their workforce data, fill in any gaps in those data, and conduct evidence-based policy and planning for their sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health (SRMNAH) workforce.
Its publication could not be more timely, as workforce issues take centre stage with the Global Health Workforce Alliance’s Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health to be presented to the World Health Assembly in 2016, and the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescent’s Health to be launched in September 2015, aligning with the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations General Assembly.
