Overview
Progress on achieving the health-related targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is lagging. One way to change this is to improve the way that multilateral agencies work together in providing support for countries. The Global Action Plan for Healthy Lives and Well-being for All (SDG3 GAP) is a set of commitments, signed by 13 multilateral agencies, to strengthen collaboration and alignment with country priorities in health. While the SDG3 GAP agencies are committed to strengthening collaboration and providing more streamlined support to countries, lessons learned since 2019 show that Member States can also do more to incentivize collaboration and fully leverage the SDG3 GAP at the country level.
