Analysis of the commitments made by national governments of 57 countries at the Third Global Forum on human resources for health

Overview
In the lead-up to Third Global Forum on human resources for health, countries were invited to make new commitments to accelerate health workforce development efforts. This paper examines the range of interventions chosen. In order to analyze the actions that countries considered most relevant, commitment were categorized according to the universal health coverage framework of availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality, and five areas of health workforce action (education, skills mix, health labour markets, incentives, retention)WHO Team
