Case-control study to assess potential risk factors related to Guillain-Barré Syndrome including Zika virus infection
Standardized protocol

| Technical document

Overview
This standardized study protocol outlines methods to
guide data collection in order to evaluate exposures and risk factors for Guillain-Barré syndrome
(GBS) between patients diagnosed with GBS and controls without evidence of GBS and to quantify
the strength of these associations with ZIKV infection. The data collected from this standardized
protocol will help characterize demographic features or exposures associated with the development
of GBS and guide the public health response.
