List of transitional WLAs

Overview

The tWLA list supersedes the WHO Interim list, which identified categories of authorities recognized by WHO for achieving necessary operational levels in the regulation of medicines and/or vaccines as of 31 March 2022.

The tWLA list remains valid up to 31 March 2027. During this period, authorities will be assessed against the criteria for WLA designation. A regulatory authority will transition from the tWLA list to the permanent WLA list upon successfully completing the performance evaluation process, and the tWLA list will be updated accordingly.
