The Eighteenth Meeting of the WHO-UNICEF Technical Expert Advisory group on nutrition Monitoring (TEAM)

Overview

In 2015, WHO and UNICEF established an independent Technical Expert Advisory group on nutrition Monitoring (TEAM) to advise on enhancing nutrition monitoring at all levels. TEAM’s primary responsibility was completing development of a set of indicators to monitor the Comprehensive Implementation Plan on Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition, consistent with the global nutrition targets decided by the World Health Assembly (WHA). For the past few years, TEAM’s scope of work has been expanded to cover relevant and priority areas for global nutrition monitoring. Three new working groups were formed to carry forward the workplan including the new areas of work.

The eighteenth TEAM meeting was held virtually on 18-20 March 2025. This report provides a summary of presentations, discussions, recommendations, and decisions emanating from this meeting. The agenda and list of participants are included in Annexes.
