Towards global mental health for all
A journey through consecutive Global Mental Health Summits

Overview
Previous Global Ministerial Mental Health Summits (London, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome, in chronological order) have played a crucial role in fostering international collaboration and raising awareness about the pressing issues surrounding mental health on a global scale. These gatherings have provided a platform for experts, policymakers, and advocates to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and work towards solutions to the mental health challenges faced by individuals and communities worldwide.
Over the years, these summits have addressed a wide
range of topics, from improving access to mental health services to
mental health as a human right, and from promoting mental well-being in
schools and workplaces to addressing the unique mental health needs of
vulnerable populations. The outcomes of these summits have resulted in
numerous initiatives, policies, and partnerships aimed at advancing
mental health on a global level.
This year's Global Ministerial
Mental Health Summit in Buenos Aires is set to build upon the foundation
laid by its predecessors.
In order to strengthen the impact of these meetings, continuity needs to be maintained between summits, commitments need to be followed up on and accountability needs to be part of the discussions. This report looks to trace a line between past, present and future summits and reflect on their impact, as well as remaining gaps and challenges in Global Mental Health.
