WHO Global Infection Prevention and Control Network meeting, 26th November 2024

Overview

The WHO Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Hub plays a key role in coordinating the Global IPC Network (GIPCN), which connects IPC organizations and WHO collaborating centers worldwide. The primary goal of this coordination is to strengthen national and international collaborations, supporting efforts to enhance IPC systems, improve outbreak preparedness and response, and build capacity for surveillance.

Objectives of the meeting: 

• Share updates between GIPCN members and WHO.
• Update GIPCN members on discussions and decision regarding the WHHD 2025 theme.
• Share and discuss the dissemination and implementation approach of the WHO IPC Global Action Plan and Monitoring Framework and solicit input and engagement from GIPCN members.
