Facilitating Regional collaboration to eliminate and control NTDs
Overview
WHO provides technical leadership and facilitates Regional collaboration of Member States, experts, donors and other partner agencies. WHO convenes meetings of Member States, experts and other stakeholders and facilitate development of Regional strategies, frameworks, policies and guidelines by adapting global norms and standards to the Regional context.
WHO also constitutes the Network of WHO Collaborating Centres (WHOCCs) and other relevant research institutions and partner agencies in the Region to coordinate work to undertake research to generate scientific evidence and develop programmatic tools to support NTD programmes.
WHO also convenes a meeting of national programme managers and partners to facilitate exchange of information, experience and lessons learnt to facilitate cross-learning across the Region.
