WHO resources for occupational health in COVID-19 response and recovery
WHO’s action on COVID-19 response and recovery aims at protection of health workers and prevention and mitigation of COVID-19 in other work settings outside the health sector. Occupational health services have an important role for protecting workers and ensuring the business continuity of activities in all workplaces.
Protection of health workers and emergency responders
The protection of health workers is one of the priorities for the response to COVID-19. All healthcare facilities should have programmes for occupational health and infection prevention and control to protect health and safety of health workers.
