
NCD integrated support
The mission of the NCD Integrated Support (NIS) unit is to enable integrated noncommunicable diseases services through health system strengthening using a primary health care approach.
The unit works on:
- NCD integrated country support
- evidence-based advocacy
- the creation of solutions for access to NCD medicines
- the mainstreaming of NCDs into the agendas of strategic partners, such us the Global Fund and the World Bank
- the preparation process of the 4th High-level Meeting on NCDs
- the mainstreaming of environmental risk factors into NCDs' work
- the development of technical products that promote NCD integrated services.
