Transparency

Transparency is an important component of the ICTRP Platform, it can be seen in:

• The Mission: A complete view of research which is accessible will improve research transparency
• The Values: the 8th value is to improve transparency
• The Objectives: the second objective is to communicate and raise awareness of the need of transparency
• The TRDS data items allow for accountability and transparency
• The registration process: trials with incomplete data do not meet international requirements for transparency (and may not be acceptable to journal editors)
• The main functions: Search portal, Registry Network, Country support
