Who should use Go.Data?
Go.Data is
designed as a flexible tool for field data collection, focusing on case and
contact data including contact follow-up. It’s users include data
managers, field epidemiologists, contact tracers and response managers.
Is
Go.Data free to use?
Yes, Go.Data is
distributed free to use at no cost. Terms of Use and Software License
Agreement can be found within the tool. From the outset, Go.Data was designed
as a tool that can be distributed with minimal barriers to adoption.
How do
I use Go.Data?
Go.Data can be
installed as standalone software running on one PC or it can be installed as a
server installation. One installation of Go.Data can store multiple
outbreaks. It supports multiple concurrent users collaborating
together. Security model allows assigning granular roles and permissions
to users. In addition, Go.Data has optional smartphone application for Android
or iOS, and upon connection of the mobile app to the Go.Data instance case and
contact data will become available on the Go.Data mobile app on the phone or
tablet.
What operating system does Go.Data support?
Go.Data runs on Windows, Linux and mac OS environments. The
mobile application is available for Android and iOS.
What can I do with Go.Data?
Go.Data focuses on outbreak investigation and field data
collection. Go.Data is not build for a specific disease or country, and
can be easily adopted to specifics of the outbreak response. Users with
appropriate permissions can configure follow-up duration, adjust reference
data, and design questionnaires for case investigation, contact follow-up and
lab data. Users can also create case – case and case – contact relationships
and build chains of transmission. Go.Data is a multilingual tool with
extensive features for data import and export.
Who developed Go.Data?
Go.Data was
designed and developed by WHO in collaboration with GOARN
partner institutions. It builds on previous WHO and partners experience in
design, development and roll out of the field data collection tools.
