End TB and Leprosy Unit
The End TB and Leprosy Elimination unit operates with an aim to end the tuberculosis (TB) epidemic by 2035 and further reduce leprosy burden in the Western Pacific Region as guided by the WHO’s global strategies on TB and leprosy. The unit provides leadership, guidance and technical assistance to countries in developing, implementing and monitoring national strategies; convenes partners for a coordinated approach; and articulates evidence-based policy options. The unit works closely with Member States in the Region, including seven regional priority countries for TB. The unit’s work on TB is guided by the Regional Framework for Action on Implementation of the End TB Strategy 2016-2020.
