International Pandemic Preparedness Centre (IPPC)

The International Pandemic Preparedness Centre (IPPC) is a unified real-time infectious disease surveillance system that serves as a proactive measure to prevent new outbreaks and mitigate resulting socio-economic risks. For countries without any health information systems, the IPPC can provide the foundation for infectious disease surveillance. For countries with silo-ed systems, IPPC can be implemented to integrate these systems into a unified system. In both instances, implementation of IPPC can lead to greater operational efficiency and streamlined deployment of resources.

For healthcare systems, the IPPC proposes to be a disease-agnostic, all-in-one unified platform, thereby reducing the healthcare burden of notification and reporting of infectious diseases. Powered by data science and machine learning, the IPPC will improve the way data is collected, analysed, and shared. This will increase the quality and integrity of the resulting reports and recommendations for public health measures.
