Virtual interventions on social networking platform to promote the HIV service update among men who have sex with men
BlueCity has been taking advantage of Blued, the world-leading LGBTQ geosocial networking app with 60 million users worldwide, to promote Internet+ HIV interventions in the men who have sex with men community in China. Online interventions encompass HIV risk assessments, health promotion, needs assessments, HIV counseling and testing, and PrEP/PEP services. A dynamic networking platform embedded in Blued has also been created to support 170+ CBO/NGOs providing HIV prevention and treatment education in most regions in China.
The innovative model has channeled significant efforts into building up HIV awareness and prevention capabilities by educating global community, hoping to empower them with the knowledge and resources necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones. These initiatives have the power to change—and even save—lives.
