The Nethersole School of Nursing was established under Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991. The School focuses on high-quality, innovative nursing and health education and research to prepare and support nurses to commit themselves to improving health outcomes for individuals and communities locally, regionally and globally. The motto of the School is ‘To serve the community with compassion’, representing that the School is highly and passionately committed to serving the community with compassion.

 

Integrative Multicomponent Programme for promoting south Asians’ Cancer screening upTake (IMPACT)

IMPACT programme (Integrative Multimedia Programme for promoting south Asians’ Cancer screening uptake is aimed at building, strengthening and sustaining the relationship and networks within individuals in the vulnerable groups and across people with different background and societal levels in order to improve their accessibility of cancer screening services. The developers collaborated with various community organizations and cancer screening service providers to empower ethnic minorities to engage in healthy behaviours and health promotion activities. The solution is said to have encouraged minority community members to undergo cervical cancer screening.
