KliP Mobile (mobile eye specialist clinic) is a custom-made lorry fully equipped with eye examination tools. The design of KliP Mobile accommodates to narrow roads and is suitable for outreach to rural areas. Klip Mobile provides essential eye care services for underserved communities, engages partnership with multiple stakeholders amongst communities, indirectly supports training and education to healthcare workers, students and communities and also serves as a community-based research platform. This clinic reduces traditional barriers to healthcare access due to transportation issues, time constrains, financial costs and fear as well as distrust to the existing optical care system. The mobile clinic improves people's vision and in the long term improves their quality of life.
