Outcome of the Fourteenth Pacific Health Ministers Meeting, virtual meeting hosted by Tuvalu, 22-24 March 2022

Overview

The Fourteenth Pacific Health Ministers Meeting was hosted by Tuvalu on 22–24 March 2022 with support from the World Health Organization (‎WHO)‎ and the Pacific Community (‎SPC)‎. It was held as a fully virtual event for the first time due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting focused on three main agenda items: (‎1)‎ Leveraging the COVID-19 pandemic to build sustainable systems and advance universal health coverage; (‎2)‎ Putting health at the centre of the climate change discussion; and (‎3)‎ Accelerating action on noncommunicable diseases.

This document outlines the commitments made by the ministers who attended the event.
