Inspiring action by sharing lessons learned in primary health care transformation during the pandemic
The WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care supports Member States to accelerate primary health care reforms by sharing country experiences of system transformation in recent years. The objective is to inspire action and address challenges by enabling cross-country exchange and showcasing transformation that operationalizes dual-track service delivery.
One of the products that WHO has created for Member States is a series of publications called primary health care country vignettes. These are country-specific, pragmatic, action-oriented documents highlighting the transformation of primary health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each country vignette follows a common structure that first outlines motivation and then describes:
- transformational instruments and policies
- early achievements
- sustainability prospects and next steps
- lessons learned from other countries.
