Monitoring and reporting on THE PEP implementation

THE PEP survey is an essential tool for monitoring progress towards the implementation of THE PEP and the achievement of healthy and sustainable transport and mobility in the pan-European region.

This survey, conducted every two years, evaluates the implementation of THE PEP by collecting country-specific data on key elements and priority areas in line with the Vienna Declaration (2021). It is structured into three main sections: (i) implementation of the Vienna Declaration; (ii) challenges at the national level for healthy, green and sustainable transport; and (iii) THE PEP servicing the countries. THE PEP Secretariat analyses survey data and makes the analyses available online.

Guidance for THE PEP focal points

A video tutorial by THE PEP Secretariat (available here in the Related content section) supports THE PEP focal points in completing the survey smoothly and efficiently. The video provides clear guidance on how to fill in the survey and explains the survey structure and types of questions. It also provides practical tips on how to organize the consultation process with transport, health and environmental policy stakeholders in their respective country to collect information and data for the survey.
