The NTD road map 2021–2030 sets global targets and milestones to control, eliminate or eradicate 20 diseases and disease groups.

Collection, management and analysis of data are essential to track progress against these milestones and targets while enabling course corrections to be made where necessary.

Several cross-cutting and disease-specific platforms have been established by WHO to present and visualize NTD data.

Tools for data collection, reporting and analysis

Global NTD Annual Reporting Form

Snakebite information and data platform

The Global NTD Annual Reporting Form (GNARF) is a standardized document used by countries participating in the Global NTD Programme. It serves as a tool for reporting essential data, progress and activities related to NTD control and elimination efforts within a given country.

The GNARF is a crucial component for monitoring and evaluating the impact of NTD interventions and helps in the coordination of efforts to combat NTDs globally. It typically includes data on disease prevalence and treatment as well as other key metrics, providing a comprehensive overview of a country's NTD control and elimination activities.

Routine Health Information System for Health Facilities

The WHO Integrated Data Platform (WIDP) is a data management system powered by DHIS2 and overseen by the organization. It serves as a comprehensive tool for collecting, storing and analysing health-related data from various sources including health facilities to support evidence-based decision-making and improve global health outcomes.

Tools for planning, requesting medicines and reporting on diseases amenable to preventive chemotherapy

Snakebite information and data platform

A joint mechanism and forms have been developed to simplify the process of applying, reviewing and reporting data on preventive chemotherapy (PC) implementation. These tools improve coordination among programs, assist countries in calculating medicine quantities for their target population, and standardize reporting of epidemiological data and progress in medicine distribution across various diseases.
