Capacity and Leadership Strengthening (CAL) unit supports Member States in developing next-generation leaders for future-ready health systems; and enhancing the impact of WHO's normative products.

This is accomplished by:

  • Delivering quality and innovative capacity and leadership development programmes;
  • Cultivating ecosystems for capacity and leadership strengthening; and
  • Enhancing the development of evidence-based and quality-assured normative guidance and coordinating implementation of recommendations from expert groups in the Region.

Technical Officer, Capacity and Leadership Strengthening

Her current work focuses on developing and delivering innovative capacity and leadership building programs for health workforce and health leaders in collaboration with experts and partners to accelerate Universal Health Coverage. She is also working on establishing a quality assurance mechanism for normative products to ensure greater impact.
