About the E2P Summits

Evidence-informed policy-decision-making is essential to accelerate the achievement of the health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Triple Billion targets as outlined in the Thirteenth General Programme of Work 2019–2023 (GPW 13) of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The global Summits bring together researchers and policy-makers from WHO Regions and international institutions, Member States, universities, research institutes and partners to identify common challenges, share lessons learned, and provide recommendations supporting evidence-informed decision-making to spur progress towards the SDGs and Triple Billion targets.

E2P Summit 2021

Evidence as a catalyst for policy and societal change: Towards more equitable, resilient, and sustainable global health. Mobilizing reliable evidence in a global health crisis. Informing safe and effective health policies and programmes. Driving sustainable change towards resilient country capacity and global health equity. At the WHO Global E2P Summit, global experts and stakeholders met to determine the state and perspectives of evidence-informed health policy- and decision-making beyond the pandemic.

The WHO E2P Summit in 2021 marked a pivotal moment in advancing global health and well-being through evidence-informed decision-making. At the forefront of this transformative event, the EVIPNet emerged as a leader for systematically driving evidence-to-policy change. As a follow-up summit to 2021, the WHO Global Evidence-to-Policy E2P Summit 2023 represents a unique opportunity for researchers, professionals, knowledge brokers, and policy-makers to be part of the dialogue that drives evidence-informed policy-making.
