When shopping in preparation of the Chinese New Year, wear a mask, clean your hands frequently, avoid crowded public areas, and reduce your proximity to people and time spent in closed settings

Chinese New Year is a time to celebrate with loved ones. When reuniting with family members from other households, show them affection and appreciation through laughter and conversations while keeping safe distance and avoiding physical contact.

#COVID19 is primarily spread from person to person, rather than via food, but it’s always good to practice food safety.

If you feel unwell during Chinese New Year, please stay at home and monitor your symptoms until you recover. Contact your doctor for advice if needed. It’s best not to risk potentially spreading #COVID19 to loved ones during celebrations.

If you are visiting others, especially the elderly, be sure to self-test prior to gathering

Make sure you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This is especially important for the elderly and other at-risk groups
