Assistive Product Procurement
Procurement of high-quality, appropriate, and affordable assistive products remains a challenge for many government and non-government agencies. To address this, WHO and UNICEF are working together to make a range of assistive products available in their supply catalogues.
All products in the catalogue have been selected through a robust and transparent procurement process following United Nations Procurement Guidelines. Product specifications have been verified against WHO Assistive product specifications and other international standards.
This means that countries can now access a range of products that have been pre-selected for both quality and suitability for a range of contexts and users.
WHO and UNICEF teams are also on hand to provide tailored advice in product selection, including size range and product variants to best meet the needs of the target population.
Product range
A range of wheelchairs, hearing aids, and accessories are currently available. This range will soon be expanded to include more mobility assistive products, as well as a range of assistive products for low vision and incontinence.
