The regional preparedness, alert and response system serves as an operational hub to effectively manage and mitigate the risks and impacts associated with disease outbreaks and public health emergencies.
Key elements of the focus area
- A regional risk assessment system that can use multiple sources of information for decision-making for response is strengthened.
- A regional operational hub for preparedness planning and coordinated response to public health events and emergencies is functional.
- A regional rapid response mechanism that can be used to deploy experts and teams at short notice is in place.
- An information-sharing platform that utilizes available and innovative technology to enhance knowledge development, exchange and transfer is enhanced.
- A regional learning hub is used to develop a skilled workforce through on-the-job training and learning by doing.
